Description:

This mod and its submods effectively replace all my other High Elf mods. Apart from new landmarks and units, the mod also tweaks some Vanilla aspects and includes some climate changes.

The mod is balanced for Vanilla. I currently don’t have any plans for compatibility patches!

Requires Building Progression Icons II by SPARTAN VI!

Landmarks

Hall of Dragons – additional tier 3 and 4 buildings “Dragon Spine Mountains” & “Dragon Caves”
Vaul’s Anvil – new building
White Lion Hunting Grounds – additional tier 2 building “Blackwoods of Chrace”
Ancient Subterranian Palace – additional tier 5 building “Sunken Necropolis”
Great Temple of Mathlann – new building (Tor Koruali)
Royal Ellyrian Stables – moved to tier 4, additional tier 1 building “Planes of Ellyria”
Amphitheatre of Yvresse – additional tier 3 building “Spire of the Warden”
Tor Yvresse Watchstone – new building
Flamespyres – new building (Shrine of Asuryan) – appears in the “Advanced Military” category

Grove – additional tier 2 building “Eyrie” (Eagles are now tier 2)
World Root Entrance (Avelorn) – available to all High Elves from Gaean Vale
Aesanar Camp (Nagarythe) – available to all High Elves from Tor Anlec & the Shrine of Khaine

Drakespine Warriors – Spear & Bow infantry with +35 bonus vs large
Dragon Princes (Foot) – heavy Sword & Shield infantry
Spirits of Cothique – ethereal Archers, Spearmen and Silver Helms
Mistwalkers of Yvresse – Sword & Bow infantry with guerilla deploy & ItP
Spire Guard of Tor Yvresse (not recruitable) – garrison unit for the “Spire of the Warden”
Forest Dragon – from Court of the Everqueen

Shadow Warriors (Dark Steeds) – RoR (limit 1) from Aesanar Camp

Since the Mistwalkers somewhat fill the same role as Shadow Warriors, should I make Shadow Warriors available from the Aesanar Camp only, increasing their rarity?

Lords & Heroes

Ancient Treeman – Avelorn only, but can be gained through confederation

Branchwraith – from World Root Entrance in Gaean Vale
Shadow Warrior Captain – from Aesanar Camp

Climate changes

Nagarythe has "Island" (e.g. most of Ulthuan) changed to suitable climate.

Gaean Vale – Avelorn
The Gaean Vale gets its own unique magical forest climate. It gives some bonuses to public order and combat stats when defending in forest battles.

Shadowlands – Nagarythe
Changes to climate in all 3 Nagarythe regions to "Shadowlands". It gives bonuses to Shadow Warriors and ambush success chance, with slight maluses to construction cost and replenishment rate (the former can be fully mitigated with the marble building in Tor Anlec). I’ll likely expand upon this with a Tor Anlec restoration project at some point and rework the effects.

Land of Mists – Yvresse
Yvresse (only Northern Yvresse in the Vortex campaign) gets its own "Land of Mists" climate, which reduces movement range and line of sight with a bonus to ambush success chance. The negative effects can be mitigated through the landmarks in Tor Yvresse.

Further tweaks

There are also some things like changing part of Tyrion’s passive to factionwide or adding some influence income to landmarks included. I won’t document all of them, but there shouldn’t be compatibility issues because of them.

Submods

Dedication to Khaine – The mod adds a new close combat skill to the "Dedicated to …" line for Tyrion and the Princes/Princesses.

Avelorn Overhaul – More custom additions for Avelorn, including new units and some tweaked buildings.

Vanilla Unit Tweaks – White Lions changed into a true bodyguard unit & new Blackwood Warriors (based on Aguirre’s Elves) to fill the gap. It also changes Eagles to a unit size of 3 (with adjusted stats).

Credits

The Drakespine Warriors, Silverin Guard and Knights of Tor Gaval use assets from Aguirre’s Elves! I asked for permission some months back for this mods spiritual predecessor, but I’m not sure it still counts.

Aguirre, if you read this and don’t like my usage of your textures, please let me know and I’ll replace them immediately!

I learned how to change climates from Sunday_Assassin’s Yvresse Overhaul. I largely rewrote the parts I took inspiration from, but I used some of the descriptions for the Yvresse units and landmark buildings.

Actual custom unit cards (not just downsized screenshots of the units) were created by morfeasnikos, thanks a lot!
