Outremer: Minor Faction Overhaul
"Disgusted at the evil that they found in Araby, the victorious knights tore down idols, burned whole libraries of dangerous books, and eventually retreated to the untainted lands of Bretonnia and the Lady of the Lake. However, some knights, driven into a frenzy of righteousness by the black-hearted evil and sickening decadence of the Arabyans, decided to remain and build a mighty fortress of virtue that would stand forever against the resurgence of darkness in the lands of Araby."
This minor faction overhaul converts the Thegan Crusaders faction into the dukedom of Outremer, that is heavily influenced by the real life Kingdom of Jerusalem, as a result of playing around Medieval 2.
- Converts the Thegan’s Crusaders into the dukedom of Outremer, with custom faction effects, banner, and victory conditions
- New Legendary Lord: Duke Balduin d’Anjou, with his own custom skill tree (Faction Leader)
- New Legendary Lord: Odo d’Outremer, (Grand Master of the Temple)
- New Legendary Lord: Gilbert d’Araby, (Grand Master of the Hospital)
- New Legendary Hero: Balian d’Ibelin, spawned after a (easy) mission
- New Hero: Poulain Nobles, brings troop replenishment and its role is similar to a warrior priest, available only for the Outremer
- New building chains: Knightly Orders, bring the power of the orders to battle! Can only build one order per settlement, available only in Araby
- 4 new landmarks
- 20 new units
- Balanced for vanilla
- 5 Sergeant (medium-class) units available only to Outremer
- 3 Knights units, Knights of the Outremer and it’s dismounted variant, and Knights of Ibelin
- 4 new Temple units, Knights and dismounted variant, voulgiers and mounted sergeants
- 4 new Hospital units, Knights and dismounted variant, spearmen and crossbowmen
- 2 new Lazarite units, Mounted and dismounted knights
- 2 new Sepulchre units, Mounted and dismounted knights
- You can use any unlocker that unlocks the Thegan’s Crusaders to play as this faction.
- If you play as Repanse and have OVN activated, the faction won’t exist in the map (due to Repanse’s and Araby’s starting position)
- Yes, some units/heroes are locked only to this faction
