DESCRIPTION
The J/A-109 Shade is a light, Short Take off and Vertical Landing, or STOVL capable jet designed to operate from short runways as well as carrier operations. It served as a good fit between the A-32 and the J/A-107, offering more precise shots than the J/A-107 but faster than the A-32. The Vertical Take off and Landing features, or STOVL significantly reduced landing time, but also reduced range as a result.
STARTUP PROCEDURE:
– Ensure Primary Battery breaker is turned ON
– Enable Reserve Battery if needed
– Flip the "Fuel pump switch" on the right side of the cockpit
– Turn on the Enable Engine Switch
– Use throttle to control aircraft (1.0+ throttle is afterburner)
– Operate VTOL in the lower instrument panel.
– Use WASD and Up/Down Left/Right to operate VTOL
– Use throttle to operate throttle in normal and VTOL mode, do not go below .9 throttle in VTOL mode.
