Yin-Yin, the Sea Dragon & Warriors of the Jade Sea (Immortal Empires)
Mixu’s Faction Unlocker REQUIRED for play

The Eastern Provinces – NEW playable Cathay Faction
–How they play–
Outside their faction effects as well as the lord army buff from Yin-Yin herself, the Eastern Provinces offer a more challenging start than your usual faction.
Immediately on turn 1, the player will be facing two dilemmas:
Yin-Yin has found herself stranded in Lustria, near the temple cities of Xlanhuapec, flanked by all sorts of monstrous beasts sent by the Lizardmen. Yin-Yin’s remaining troops will be in for the fight of their lives to survive these initial stages.

There are four lizardmen factions to watch out during your stay in Lustria:
Xlanhuapec, your initial foe, is the most desperate in trying to remove you from Lustria as Slann Lord Huinitenuchli himself had summoned 2 great dinosaurs from the depths of the jungle.
The remaining other three lizardmen temple cities each boast their own great dinosaur prowling their lands so should Yin-Yin decide to venture further deep into the jungles, she and her army must be on their guard.
Meanwhile back home in Cathay, Yin-Yin’s appointed administrator of the realm, Yin-Tuan, was tasked in retaking the port city of Fu-Chow along with the help of a small force of elite troops from the Celestial Loyalists, but their forces are engaged by a massive fleet of pirates led by the infamous pirate queen Zheng Shih.

Zheng Shih and her nipponese pirate lords are a formidable presence in Yin-Yin’s campaign, and one that the player should expect for a really brutal fight, as they come with their own unique variety of pirates, raiders and warriors hailing from all over the Jade Sea.
It has now become apparent that the Sea Dragon doesn’t have the luxury of men nor resources to take on two fronts at the same time. For the player, it will be quite a challenge to maintain Yin-Yin’s expedition and escape from Lustria while also fighting off the mighty Jade Sea pirates from Cathay’s shores.
Sacrifices will be made if Yin-Yin’s eastern dominion were to last.
THESE UNITS ARE ONLY PRESENT IN YIN-YIN’S CAMPAIGN, AND WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE IN THE OTHER CAMPAIGNS

Yin-Yin, The Sea Dragon
Yin-Yin is a hybrid Legendary Lord, similar in manner to Luthor Harkon. She is a competent duelist, possesses a powerful pistol for ranged attacks, and is also an adept caster who has access to the Lore of Beasts and Lore of Yin. On top of that, she of course has a dragon transformation ability much like her siblings.
While Yin-Yin is versatile and powerful by herself, even considering her dragon form, her real strength is without a doubt through her ultimate ability, which you can unlock by Lv22, Queen of the Jade Sea .
As mentioned above, this ability summons a special unit, her very own flagship, into battle.
The Golden Heron
![]()
The Golden Heron is a mechanical wonder and a flying behemoth capable of raining destruction upon everything in its path. As something befitting its captain, the Golden Heron operates like a fully functioning battleship that’s armed with no less than 4 different guns, each for dealing with a specific type of enemy. It has a single shot firing cannon for single targets, a rocket launcher that can set enemy blobs aflame, a powerful main gun that shoots clusters of cannon balls that can tear through several enemy ranks with deadly force, and broadside cannons each on its port and starboard sides for dealing with enemies on the ship’s flanks.
However, despite this immense power, the Golden Heron is also a complicated beast that needs be used carefully especially in the presence of many artillery or high AP ranged units because it has 3 unique damaged state phases that could spell doom for the unit very quickly if left unchecked.

In exchange, the crew of the Golden Heron have access to 2 charges of the "Damage Control" ability, which tries to repair the ship and prevent the ship’s hull damage status from progressing into a severe state.

Destruction
But should salvage of the ship be deemed impossible, the Golden Heron will explode into a bright ball of fire, spewing flaming debris around and underneath its wreckage; so if the ship is about to go down, it would be wise to evacuate nearby units to not get caught up in the explosion. Likewise, it would be ideal to send the ship into enemy lines so that it may bring them down with her.

NEW RECRUITABLE UNIT – Ansatsusha

It is not uncommon for the infamous master assassins of far east Nippon to lend their services in the west; indeed, the dread ninjas have been a rather common, and often fatal, sight even on the busy streets of Marienburg. However, the Sea Dragon would want nothing but the best and most elite to add to her exotic motley crew, for the Grand Dragon Fleet, much like its cosmopolitan capital Fu-Chow, is best known for its racial diversity and harmony.
Ansatsusha are a special ops unit of ninja armed with potent toxins and explosives used to destroy their quarry. They can hastily stalk the battlefields almost undetected by the enemy and throw them into disarray with their special starpowder bombs that can leave poor survivor caught in its explosion blinded for an agonizing few seconds before the assassins quickly rush in for the kill.

Warriors of the Jade Sea Unit List
Yin-Yin is a horde that operates similar to Vampire Coast and has access to ship building.
Here, she can access a number of buildings that unlock various units as well as buffs to her army and on the campaign map.
