Aleutian Wilderness
Note: This map is VERY CHALLENGING. It is not an easy map to build cities on, there are no road or power connections, and the islands are small and far apart. If you don’t want a very hard challenge, try one of my other island based maps that are much easier.
Aleutian Wilderness is a BOAT ONLY challenge map. It is intended for expert challenge! There are no outside road or power connections. The resources, while plentiful, are scattered widely, with most of the oil on small islands, and most of the coal on the large southwestern island.
This map was created from real USGS digital elevation model data. It is a real place in the Aleutian islands. Concievably, in an alternate past, the Soviets might have settled some of these islands in the 1960s. Therefore I recommend you play on Hard mode, starting in 1960, and I reccomend you use boats and the fish farm mods!
