Conceal After Battle

Description:

Conceals your squad if there are no alerted enemy units. Basically when the battle music stops, your squad gains concealment. Disabled on maps where you are revealed at the start of missions (e.g. ambush missions). Gives enemy one turn to react if you are revealed by breaking into buildings, etc.

I didn’t like permanently losing concealment after your first ambush, because you can’t ambush anything afterwards (the enemy always sees you the same time you see them). This gives you the ability to ambush multiple pods, and gives you a chance to recoup after a battle so you don’t accidentally aggro more pods while looting.

Inspired by the game Mutant Year Zero, which had a similar mechanic.

Recommended mods:

  • Hey, Stay Put! – prevents enemy scatter on your turn. to execute cool ambushes 🙂

Now compatible with both WOTC and vanilla! (and everything else, for that matter)
