Description:

A mod that increases the life expectancy of all pawns (including animals) six-fold, because a year on the Rim is only a sixth of the length of a year on Earth and, well, we are not mayflies.

The ideal solution would be to change the way RimWorld simulates a year, extending it to more closely match the length of a year on Earth, but this would involve significant changes to game balance, as the game is currently balanced around a 60-day year (especially with regards to things like harvests). Therefore, the simpler solution was to make everything live six times longer, and for pawns with age generation curves to have their curves adjusted accordingly.

Known side effects of this mod:

  • Generated pawns will nearly always have grey hair unless dyed (this is hard-coded in pawn generation, but I’m looking at a way to override it),
  • Pawns that are generated at an advanced age (by the standards of this mod) will have a proportionately larger number of age-related illnesses and deficiencies than they would without this mod. Don’t be surprised if that 450 year old caravaneer or raider is a frail, dementia-riddled asthmatic with hearing loss and a bad back!
  • Your pawns will have more chances to develop age-related illnesses or deficiencies over their lifetimes (because they now have six times as many birthdays), but this lifetime will be six times longer as well, so the chance of "younger" pawns getting these problems over the course of a playthrough will drop as well (since it will take longer for them to reach the threshold of age required to start generating these problems).
