Chatty Devil
Satan’s deals have gotten a lot less tempting with Repentance reworks, so he’s improving his salesmanship. This mod adds ~130 (!) lines of dialogue for Devil statues and considerably less (~18) for Angel statues, and does nothing else. The Devil reacts to your character, the items for sale, the items you have and use, anything you do to try and cheat him, and more. He’ll even mock you when there’s no deals.
Just like its sister mod Chatty Keepers, you can turn the sillier dialogue lines on and off (default off) at the top of main.lua or by using Mod Config Menu, and decide whether Devils, Angels, or both talk. All of the angel’s non-silly lines are Bible quotes, because of course they are. The devil statue has a line for that one curse room, but he doesn’t speak in his boss fight and neither do the angels by default- though with the silly switch on, Gabriel repeats some of his lines from ULTRAKILL.
This should be compatible with everything sane you want to use it with. I have a few different mod ideas kicking around but there was demand for this, and it was much faster to make than Chatty Keepers. My coding is still crap though.
