Description:

This is a milder version of The Scrapper’s Realistic routing/morale mechanics.
I liked the idea of attempting to get RTW-style chain routing, but found that his mod made every unit rout, even if they were winning, and then return, even if they were losing.
This version does the same thing, but tones it down so it is more dependent on how the battle goes. It still increases routing compared to default DeI. Some values are what they were in DeI, others are closer to what they were in The Scrapper’s mod, based on trial and error.

Some say it makes the game easier, but it also makes morale more difficult for the player. Especially placing levies in the main line and expecting them to hold on for long can be quite troublesome, as it should be. It also reduces the ability of the player to maximally use gameplay mechanics to his advantage.
And the submod also reduces enemy losses, so you might have to fight the same army again, and the second time they might have retreated into the reinforcement zone of a settlement. Ancient battles would often see less than 10% losses. You can just make the game more difficult in other ways, such as decreasing income.

Compatibility should be broad. I tested this with DeI, but since those kv tables are base-game material it might even work with vanilla or other conversions. No guarantees on good outcomes though, because the balancing is different. Load this on top. If you use other mods that do the same thing then only one will load.
