Description:

Pressing the "Become Hegemon" button is never worth it in vanilla EU4 due to the insane -100 global opinion it gives. In addition, by the time you have a million troops fielded or two hundred and fifty heavy ships, no one else on the planet can compete with you – it’s just a "win more" button.

This mod quarters the global opinion penalty from -100 to -25, and roughly halves the requirements for each hegemon. This means AI great powers have half a chance of becoming hegemons. It also plays well with mods that decrease force limits.

Economic 1000 income -> 500
Naval 250 ships -> 120
Military 1000k troops -> 400k

In addition, being the naval hegemon at 100% gets you 20% global trade power, and military at 100% gets you 1 yearly army tradition.

Needs one of the great power DLCs (Rights of Man/Emperor) to work.

Leave suggestions in the comments.

Future plans: figure out a way to make other great powers care more about you being a hegemon than random nations.
