Forget the city you once knew in the past, welcome to the new Kavala of 2035.
The capital of Altis is today ravaged by a total and destructive war. Several years ago, the city experienced a real bloodbath when its government was overthrown by the renegade Colonel Akhanteros, leader of the armed forces of the AAF. Then victim of a coup, the city became the scene of urban clashes between the army and a group of resistance fighters called the FIA. Later, supported by an alliance with CSAT, Akhanteros managed to force the rebels to abandon the island and retreat to Stratis, which housed a NATO air base.
However, an alliance between the Americans and the loyalists was too dangerous, and the opportunity to eradicate any form of resistance in one moment was too great. CSAT decided thus to send a tactical nuclear warhead to raze the southern part of the island, decimating many of the rebels and cutting off communications with the outside world. Nevertheless, the airbase was spared, and the survivors united to fight back.
Corporal Ben Kerry, a member of NATO’s Rapid Reaction Force who was based in the area, is enlisted in an all-out war between NATO and the armed forces of CSAT and AAF. Objective, to take back the capital of Altis, Kavala.
