Harder Difficulties
Is Extreme too easy for you? Maybe you tried the 5X mod and still Impossible difficulty offers no challenge? Then this mod is for you! I can’t fix the lackluster AI in this game, but I can always give it more unfair bonuses! This mod adds 4 difficulties beyond Extreme. Here’s the bonuses the AI gets for each difficulty above extreme:
- Impossible (same as 5X): +100% to Research, Credits, Command Points, Production, and Food
- Inconceivable: +180% to all of the above
- Absolutely Barbaric: +240%
- What Is This I Don’t Even: +300%
This mod requires WhatIsSol’s Unofficial Code Patch, since without it the AI doesn’t get the credits bonus, but it thinks it does, so it overspends and scraps everything. In fact, UCP adds several other AI improvements and is recommended for everyone regardless of whether you use this mod too.
I also took the liberty of making it so Very Easy, Easy, and Normal difficulty all count toward the Ironman achievement in case anyone cares about that.
