The Task and Purpose
The Task and Purpose is a 48 Solar panel, Steel/Combat steel long-range Expeditionary vehicle and all-purpose tasker. The ship was built to be the ultimate Ease-of-use luxury player vehicle for completing any task in the game. It is an absolute joy to fly and fight with, it is a ship which does everything, and does it at incredible efficiency. It will kill a Dreadnaught at just 2-3 Aux cores and has 28 Turret firmpoints but can handle even more tonnage than that.
The Task and purpose has 8 CV laser drills configured in a line formation for ideal targetting of both pentaxid and large deposit asteroids.
It’ll fly for 100 Real life-hours on a single Tank of fuel with it’s Shield and radar on ( Weapons OFF ). It expends almost no energy use outside of combat, and it can run it’s manual guns and turrets ( Only 1 ammo type ) by simply mining copper & aluminum asteroids. It is the ultimate self-sufficiency vehicle, no worries about needing to return to base to refuel or re-arm, this vehicle will go far into deep space and complete its mission without resupply.
100% unimpeded forward views, suicide cockpit doors, instantaneous drone-launch after leaving your seat, it is an excellent and inexpensive vehicle for retrieving drone-parts with little to no risk, it’s positrons will absolutely bug-swat Drone swarmers and your cockpit is a 100% combat steel and heavy glass envelope.
This ship is an absolute joy to fly, it will make an excellent backup ship when youve moved onto something larger and it was built to be an Ideal Miner, as well. It is a ship which does everything, and does it very well. It’s something you need to fly to understand.
