Description:

Thank You Everyone for 1000+ Subs! A bonus car is available here.

Well Cars are used by railroads to transport intermodal containers, and are popular in North America. The low-floor well allows for two levels of containers, doubling the car’s capacity. Now, these cars are available for use in Stormworks! These cars can be used to accomplish the new logistics missions in Stormworks 1.0.

Features
  • Designed for Stormworks 1.0 Logistics Missions
  • Carries up to 4 Stormworks 1.0 Containers in a Double-Stack configuration (3 recommended)
  • Automatic Locks secure single-stacked containers to car floor
  • NEW! Magalls to secure the bottom container of a double-stack
  • Loading Markers denote loading areas for containers – Place containers between black markers to ensure that containers properly lock in place
  • Design, company markings and labels based on real-life prototypes
  • SIBTaT-Compatible Trailer Hitch at A-end of car
  • Manual Handbrake at B-End of car
  • Uncoupling buttons on all corners of car

How to load Double-Stacks with the new Magalls

I recommend using the loader found here as it drives well and fits in the train workbench! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2233414473

  1. Load the bottom container layer first, placing the containers on the floor of the well between the black markers.
  2. Activate the Magalls using the helm at B-end of car.
  3. Load upper container layer carefully. Place upper container connectors directly over lower container connectors. Failure to do so may result in damage.
  4. Briefly deactivate and reactivate magalls to allow containers to settle
  5. Depart, maintaining slow speeds through sharp curves and switches to avoid cargo loss. Magalls may attach and detach themselves repeatedly throughout the journey; this is normal behaviour due to the extreme weights of the cargo.

NOTE: Exercise caution when loading containers. If adjacent containers are not properly loaded between the black markers, the containers may latch together causing damage to vehicles and cargo. This may also occur with adjacent double-stacked containers. Double-stack containers at your own risk.
