Series 103 Renovated train
The 103 Series was a commuter type train manufactured by Japan National Railways between 1963 and 1984. In the 1990s, the disparity in equipment between them and the newer trains of the time became noticeable, and they used in Osaka & Kyoto area were subjected to various renewal works. Among them, those that were intended to be used up to 40 years old were called ’40N Renovated’, and those for 30 years old were called ’30N Renovated’.
