Description:

The Gladiator for LWotC is designed with the Mod Jam+ enviornment in mind. It is usable in base LwotC, but not advised. Any attempt at using this class in base WotC will meet potentially game-breaking bugs.

Feedback is welcome and appreciated. Please let me know if you encounter any problems and I will do my best to resolve them.

Description:

Skilled at close-range combat, the Gladiator is as in-your-face as a soldier can get, sacrificing almost all ranged capabilities for raw close-range damage and the survivability to reach clsoe range. Equipped with a sawed-off shotgun and a shield, the Gladiator is meant to tank enemies from close in, always in the thick of fighting.

Current perk tree is as follows:

Squaddie:
  • Point Blank: fire your sawed-off shotgun
  • Riposte: counter any attacks from melee range(including ranged attacks) that graze or miss. Gain +10 dodge
  • Formidable: gain +2 ablative and take 66% less damage from explosions
  • Lock and Load: reload one ammo with each kill
  • Reload: allows you to reload the sawn-off
Lance Corporal:
  • Tank: gain bonus armor points based on your armor class
  • Bloody Knuckles: gain +3 damage on all melee attacks)
  • Close and Personal: gain +30 crit chance against enemies within four tiles
Corporal:
  • Taunt:activate to lose 30 defense and gain 70 dodge. Turn-ending.
  • Zone of Control: enemies within six tiles of you suffer a -10 aim and -6 mobility penalty
  • Steadfast: you are immune to mental impairments
Sergeant:
  • Adrenaline: gain +1 ablative when you kill an enemy, up to +4 total
  • Shield Charge: a dashing melee attack that knocks the enemy back and immediately activates Shield Wall
  • Slug Shot: fire a shot that ignores range bonuses and penalties and pierces two armor. costs 1 ammo, has a 2 turn cooldown
Staff Sergeant:
  • Impact Compensation: gain a stacking 20% damage reduction buff whenever you are hit. 3 maximum stacks, each stack lasts two turns.
  • En Garde: free shield bashes against enemies that move or attack in melee range. Only active when Shield Wall is up.
  • Close Combat Specialist: free reaction shot against any enemy that moves or attacks in a four-tile radius.
Tech Sergeant:
  • Intimidate: chance to panic any enemy that attacks you
  • Shake The Earth: disorient enemies within seven tiles when you activate Shield Wall
  • Full Throttle: gain +2 mobility after killing an enemy
Gunnery Sergeant:
  • Unscarred: take less and deal more damage at full health depending on your armor’s tech level.
  • Aegis: take less damage and redirect attacks on adjacent allies towards you while Shield Wall is up.
  • Implacable: gain a free movement action whenever you kill an enemy for the first time each turn.
Master Sergeant:
  • Rampart: activate to gain a huge damage reduction boost.
  • Protect and Serve: gain a non-movement action after activating Shield Wall
  • Double Barrel: fire the sawed-off shotgun twice.
Known Issues

Currently there are reports that the mod makes classes with sawed-offs as the secondary have infinite ammo. I’m working on a fix.

Future Plans

a plan to add more abilities and rework the class is potentially in the works, but that is likely weeks or months out.
