Biography Family Matters
Do you want to keep track of your lovers and bastards? Maybe even take a peek at secrets from close family members? Did you encounter a likely relative but don’t know where they came from? Then this mod is for you.
This is basically a Submod of FUN’s Biography, modifying files from it to adapt it to my other mod, Family Matters.
Load this mod always after both:
These are the changes to the Biography mod, which only affect Family Members, understood as lineage founders and those with inherited lineage traits (family lineages, patrilineages, matrilineages).
Lovers (including Soulmates) appear now in the Relations section.
All natural children, including Bastards (discovered or not) appear now in the Family section.
Conversely, the death of Natural Fathers will also be recorded on the bastards’ Family section.
Biographies are saved after death by default only for played and pinned characters.
With this submod, the biography should also be available after death for all Family Members with the rank of King or Emperor.
The first version of this mod had red font for all secrets. Records of lovers and bastards were emphasized over any other event.
After some testing with other font colors for different events (good vs. bad vs. secret), I think it is more elegant to keep the default selection by FUN’s Biography: normal font for all events and visual symbols for extra information.
- Languages: all that were available for the mod + the Spanish one that I added.
- Ironman compatible.
- NOT achievements compatible.
- NOT multiplayer compatible.
These modifications represent a break in immersion, since you can learn secret information about relatives that vanilla would otherwise not let you have access to.
