Cold War Rearmed III – Soviet Armed Forces Afghanistan (Unofficial Expansion)

After one of the subscribers of the Mujahideen mod mentioned that there should be an Soviet Afghan faction, I’ve decided to create a mod that seem to be absent in CWR III. Which is a faction specializing in desert combat during the Soviet-Afghan War.
This mod includes the infamous Mi-24A Krokodil (Flying Tank), a helicopter that is known for it’s extremely effective firepower, it’s high speed, and very effective in it’s role as a close support for the ground units. As well it’s appearance in Hollywood films such as Rambo series, Red Dawn, Red Scorpion and others during the 1980’s.
On of the highlights of this mod is the inclusion of the iconic Panamanka hat mostly used by snipers and others in this mod. The hat is provided by Basher from his Soviet Armed Forces mod and thanks to him for letting me borrow his Panamanka hat.
In my opionion, this mod can also be used in alternate history scenarios such as Soviet invasion of Iran, Soviet intervention against Israel, Soviet assistance in the Gulf War and more depending on the subscriber’s ideas.
Features:
-Realistic depiction of the Soviet troops deployed in Afghanistan at the year 1985.
-Historically accurate weapons.
-Mi-24A Krokodil is present and the big highlight of the mod.
-Some vehicles do have desert camo or painting.
-Spetsnaz have a unique class known as the Pistoleer which is armed with the 6P9 pistol
-Spetsnaz are included (They wore face masks in order for them to seal their involvement).
-VDV are included.
