The Akula Reforged

The Akula is a Non-Quantum Cruiser-Class attack vessel. She is light, fast, and carries an armament of 61 purposed turret mountings & 12 Armor/reinforced Manual weapon bays.
Built specifically as a Hunter Killer Daily-driver, the Akula is weighted to Max out around 61 Turrets, including 24+ Heavy turrets, and will still accomodate 800 Tons of Ammunition at a manually-set Roll of around 45. It’s important to note that your degree of roll is crucial to maintaining top speeds in combat, and as your ship takes on more weight, it’s roll can be manually adjusted down to accomodate for the added weight.
With it’s stock armament, the ship is 80 Yaw/pitch/roll, with blazing speeds in most directions, and even a handsome amount of side-thrust, it has a beautiful flight profile.
With double chin-set decoys and about 10 Layers of Xeno/armored glass in it’s nose, the ship can take a few punches to the face if needed without worry of getting knocked out, but she is primarily an Agile shield-fighter and should be treated as such.
You have a Double-layer armor coocoon around your entire component section, Armored glass/Armored Steel over Full Xeno, Top, bottom, both sides and rear. You have a seperate but fully armor wrapped Shield and Core holding section viewable from the Hangar, to prevent the catastrophic loss of your most valuable components in case of a blow-out.
The ship has a handsome amount of Hangar space w/ a 7×5 Entry, as well as elevator access to a top landing deck for your SV. Ease-of access and fast, fluid movement through the ship are built into the design, you have a single elevator which takes you front to back, top to bottom, suicide cockpit doors, multiple Pilots seats for taking command quickly, and multiple O2, Shower, and Biomedical chambers for quick access, this is a simple, clean ship to navigate and operate, as you have come to expect from me.
The Akula has a full medical office, Mess Hall, Botany Laboratory ( grow-room ), Production floor, as well as 2 Crew-quarter apartments. I worked really hard to bring the interior up to snuff to the ship’s exterior, which was a task, but the work is done and I am truly proud to say, this ship is beautiful, inside and out, including LCDs and integrated sensors.
With 12 Manual fire bays tight-to cockpit, the ship is a gifted precision-coring tool, it is very much a smaller, less costly "The Hammer of Rados", just keep in mind, it doesnt have nearly the Thrust as THOR, so mind your tonnage! ( I recommend a minimum 90 m/s Upward thrust with ammo factored in, @ 40 degrees of roll for Dreadnought encounters )
The Akula is designed to max out around 10 Aux cores, w/ Progenitor Shield, 12 Heavy Plasma, 24 Light Plasma, 12 Heavy Missiles, 4 EMPs, 4 Cruise Missiles, 4-5 Minigun turrets, and 12 Manual Artillery Cannons. & it will skin a Dreadnought alive w/ that armament. It’s a Dreadnought contender at just 2 Auxillary cores.
To keep the Craft available as a non-quantum, I’ve given the stock blueprint an armament of 16 Plasma turrets, 24 Sentry turrets, and 5 Minigun turrets, it’s enough to hunt Legacy ships for quantums and start your upgrade path for the ship. The base blueprint is about 8% over CPU limit, so it really straddles viability as a non quantum, but its OK. 🙂 Stuff some crew in if you can.
