CK2 Assassination Plots [BETA]
NOTE: This mod was made for singleplayer and might not work in multiplayer.
Version: 1.24 Japan
"Just another mod adding assassination", but this time, it works like CK2. Also, there is a gamerule system, so you can play with your own customized setup. Want to play a challenging game? Tired of always failing and getting caught? Now you can change it without needing to learn how to make your own mod!
-To start playing with the mod, a setup event will probably pop up literally after a day in-game. You need to have it to enable the assassination button.
-After that, the option to Start Assassination Plot will be available to be done against any country (it is in the Covert Actions section).
-Wait some days after choosing your target and an event will be fired, allowing you to choose your victim: the monarch, the heir or the consort of the country (works against republics and theocracies too).
-A plot will be randomly generated, starting an event chain. All of the plots are from Crusader Kings 2.
–If you succeed, your target will die.
–If you get caught, every country that has the dynasty of your target will be upset and your ruler will become a known murderer, which will give you a modifier until a new ruler comes to power.
-If your target was a member of your dynasty, you will also get a Kinslayer modifier, which also is going to damage your diplomatic reputation.
-The target will lose trust in you and receive a Diplomatic Insult casus belli.
The plot you might get can be:
-Poisoned Wine
-Falling Accident
-Archer Ambush
-Manure Explosion
-Bathtub Drowning
-Boating Accident
-Poisonous Snake
-Balcony Plummet
-Hunting Accident
-Carriage Accident
The chance of success and other features are determined by the gamerules that can be chosen by the player.
The gamerules are:
-Spy Network Size: the Spy Network Size required to start a plot. May be 75, 50, 25 or 0.
-Money required: sometimes, your co-conspirators may ask for funds for their plan. The player may set this to never happen, making the game easier.
-Espionage Ideas Required: this gamerule is originally disabled, but if the player feels that having Espionage Ideas makes more sense, he/she is free to enable this option.
-Spymaster Required: the same as the Espionage Ideas, but the default game starts with a requirement of at least a level one spymaster.
-Easy Mode: turning this on will increase the success chance from 50% to 75% and reduce the chance of being caught from 50% to 35%.
This mod is still in a beta stage, so if you find any bugs or glitches, please let me know in the comments so I can fix it.
