Kawasaki OH-1"Ninja"/AOH-1"Viper Ninja"
The JSGDF helicopter unit was in the toughest situation in ever.
They were introduced the Boeing AH-64D to replace its aging AH-1S AT Helicopters.
It’s a great helicopter, but too expensive. It has stopped purchase only 13.
Nevertheless, the AH-1Ss were increasingly retired and the squadron was finally disbanded because it could not sustain itself.
However, the AH-X project, which was supposed to have been rejected years ago, has been secretly restarted!
Based on Kawasaki’s OH-1, it was equipped with Mitsubishi’s reinforced engine.
The M261 and Hellfire were mounted under the extended wings and the M197 20mm MG on the chin turret.
Thus, the OH-1 was reborn as the "Viper Ninja" a heavy AT helicopter!!!Gouranga!
