Description:

Hello everyone, and thanks for stopping by. Here’s a rather quick and dirty submod that I made for Cataph’s excellent Boyz will be Boyz – Closer to Tabletop overhaul that extends the battles further. It will also work fine if you have the accompanying Unit Pack.

It can be used alongside the official x1.5 health mod, but it’s not required.

This mod does the following:
* Halves the fatigue penalties
* Slows fatigue progression accordingly
* Changes the melee attack rate from 4 to 8 seconds
* Doubles the reload time for missile weapons
* Doubles the reload time for artillery
* Lowers the global hit chance floor for melee attacks

This mod does not change any damage or melee attack/defence stats, nor does it alter any of the ammuniton amount for missile units. I wanted to avoid all that in order to maintain the balance between the units as Cataph intended. It also does not alter Magic in any way.

If you are, like myself, getting older and greyer in your beard and would like to play the game without using half speed (and thus getting no proper audio etc.) then please go ahead and try this submod.

In my testing, the battles last roughly twice as long on average, depending on what units are facing off.

Things that are worth noting:
Because there is more time between any unit being able to attack, there will be a longer idle period between swinging their melee weapon, firing a missile weapon or artillery. But there’s no way around that, so if that breaks immersion for you then I suggest you don’t install this mod.

Feedback is of course welcome!
