"With the Chinese gaining a foothold in the southeast, in the southwest, they had managed to lead a successful landing invasion of the western part of Yong’An District. The Taiwanese had at this point, started to worry about losing the war against their communist rival, and had at this point, had been showing resistance all over the occupied areas that China claimed. With the defeat of the Air War coming to an unfortunate realization that China may claim victory, the Taiwanese began to rise up against their invaders, thus slowing down the advance towards their capital, Taipei."
