Balanced Countries
Balanced Countries is a mod which adds a lot of new countries to balance the map. Every big country is torn apart to make a space for smaller ones. Every country only owns provinces of their primary culture and primary religion. There is no flavor for any country therefore you can’t get half of Burgundy or get Aragonese Throne through an event. HRE is gone, Chinese Empire is gone and all supranational unions are gone and they will never have a place in this mod.

Is this mod related to Shattered Europa?
No. I didn’t develop that mod. This mod uses its own code. Although it is similar in some things so I will tell the differences.
The differences:
– no minor tags as San Marino or Andorra, this mod is trying to balance the countries not to shatter them as much as possible
– adding new provinces will be rare
– some minor tags may be removed from map in future so they may be available as releasable countries only
– no flavor for countries, flavor may speed up expansion of some countries, so it is removed in this mod
What’s the purpose of this mod?
To create a map where all countries are balanced together with high performance. That means the number of countries will be optimized. If 250 countries will run slowly there will be only 200 and so on. Dynastic tags like Ottomans or Mamluks will be removed in future and will be replaced by tags representing their region.
Why did I create this mod?
I liked to play Shattered Europa. Although it is over a half year since last patch so it is not playable anymore. There were also things I didn’t like. As the slow performance or a lot of other things. So I want to make a better mod which is inspired by it.
Can you contribute?
Yes. By writing suggestions, writing bugreports, translating into other languages, drawing flags for new countries or make better flags for old ones, writing province names, new start texts, national ideas which make sense in this mod, proposals for new countries and in many other ways.
