Better Androids (Damage overhaul)
Improves the android damage model by adding several new components, with each one of them doing different things. Also increases the android impact damage, and disables bleedout.
This should make androids much more fun to fight, as they dont just die from bleeding out after a single shot.
- Motherboard – Located in the head. The master component. If it breaks, the android will be completely disabled. There is no way to repair it, as it is specific for every android.
- Limb motors – Located in the upper and lower body. Not essential. If it breaks, the respective limb will be completely disabled.
- Root motor – Located in the middle body. Important. If it breaks, the whole android will be severely weakened.
- Power manager – Located in the upper body. Very important. If it breaks, the android will have a drastically increased power consumption rate. It will result in random energy bursts, which will very likely disable the android.
- Consciousness module – Located in the head. Important. If it breaks, the android will randomly pass out.
- Battery – Located in the middle body. Essential. If it breaks, the whole android will be out of power. After fixing, the android will need a recharge.
- Pain receptors – Located in the lower body. Unimportant. If it breaks, the whole android will stop felling any pain. Causes mild twitching.
If your personal android gets shot down and appears to be broken, here’s what to do:
-Hit him in the wrench everywhere in the torso and the head, until you’re sure that all mechanical damage is fixed (confirm this in the inspect panel)
-If the battery was destroyed, the android is out of charge. Get yourself an Android Recharger, and plug it into him.
-If you did everything correctly, your metallic friend should be up and working again.
If you are lacking a wrench, then:
-Inspect the android to find out what components are damaged
-Give them the respective components (in the machinery tab)
If your android drops to the floor for no apparent reason, and it doesn’t look like there is any mechanical damage, he probably ran out of power.
-Just give him an Android Recharger, and he will be up again.
