The California Coastline – The Daylight
This is a map of the famous California Coastline Rail line. This is one of the most beautiful train rides in the United States as the world famous Southern Pacific Daylight passenger train used to run over these rails. This map runs from Simi Valley, CA to Atascadero which is located just north of San Luis Obispo. I built this map with the use of google maps and my memory as I have taken Amtrak over this route several years ago. This map is starts in 1958.
The rail lines are already in place which include Oxnard yard, Port Hueneme, the Ojai Branchline, Lompoc Branchline, and even the old Southern Pacific route through Santa Paula and Fillmore. Signals and stations are include as this railroad is ready to run. Several industries can be found along the route in there real locations.
This is a great map for the use of Trucking and Passenger buses as well as there are towns not connected to the rail line. Ships can also be utilized as the southern portion of the map is the ocean.
