Updated this mod for repentance! Here’s the Afterbirth+ version since this won’t work if it’s not the right version of the mod! Needless to say that you shouldn’t have both mods active.

Tired of holding R, then running to the treasure room just to find a very underwhelming item? Well, this mod helps you getting a good starting item.
This mods spawns 4 random items at the start of the game, but you can only pick one!
This should raise the chances of getting a good starting item. It also works on challenges so if you don’t want the free item you can just ignore it.
We all know that the first floor tends to be the most important so a good start helps. Yes, you can defeat Mega Satan with the base damage, but is it fun?
After a lot of testing I think a single extra item doesn’t guarantee you to win a run so I’d say it’s a good change and hopefully it helps removing a bit of tedium at the beginning of the game.
