The now-retired subway station that sat between the Red and Blue territories has been long regarded as something more than a heritage piece; the tunnel spanning the Eagle’s and Raven’s turf poses an omnipresent threat of invasion from either faction. While neither side has thus far been so zany as to try and cram a battle tank down an escalator, the Eagles’ command recently deemed the tunnel as an active and dangerous vector for Raven-led sabotage, and ordered it collapsed.
Unwilling to completely destroy such an enticing strategic asset, the Blues hatched a plan: infiltrate the station via their side of the tunnel, plant explosives at the Red side, egress from the way they came, and kaboom. Unfortunately, the reds had the exact same idea, and both sides wound up trapped in the subway by the other’s explosions! Hoooow embaaarrassing…
Engage the enemy in the thoroughly sculpted lair of public transit! Being a place intended for mass assembly, there is little cover other than the abandoned train cars, so take aim carefully! Squeeze through the cramped train interiors, or establish control of the two staircases leading to the upstairs. Make some noise, meet the enemy head-on, and prove yourself the superior stealth/recon operatives team!
Note that the original attempt of this map was highly prone to inexplicable crashes on many computers, and while it does run fairly smoothly now, it is still prone to some physics-related bugs. If you see bots disappearing when being hit, or teammates being ejected far beyond the map’s boundary, you may need to restart the match to counter this.
