Class 55 Deltic
The English Electric Class 55 ‘Deltic’ is a British diesel locomotive, named after its revolutionary Napier Deltic engine. It pulled express passenger services for British Rail from 1960 to 1981 when they were withdrawn from mainline service.
However… export orders to the Tremendously Free People’s Republic have kept the type in production.
