Rewarding Night Combat
Looking for a reason to go out at night? This mod incentivizes you to go out by rewarding bonus experience for combat skills during the night.
By default, bonus will apply between 11PM and 6AM as follows
- Axe: 1.5x ⇔ 50% XP bonus
- Long Blunt: 1.5x ⇔ 50% XP bonus
- Short Blunt: 1.75x ⇔ 75% XP bonus
- Long Blade: 1.5x ⇔ 50% XP bonus
- Short Blade: 1.75x ⇔ 75% XP bonus
- Spear: 1.5x ⇔ 50% XP bonus
- Aiming: 1.5x ⇔ 50% XP bonus
★ Can be added/removed mid-save!
★ Tested on Single-player, Local-host and Multiplayer with 41.68 (04/04/2022)
Customization
You can customize many mod details to your liking under the sandbox settings.
Core
- Starting and ending hours for each season (Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring)
- Bonus multipliers for all the combat skills.
- Probability of triggering at starting hour. (default: 100% ⇔ everyday)
- Start after X days. (default: 0 ⇔ starting immediately, the first day)
Optional
- Enable an indicator icon that will display information about currently applied bonuses via its tooltip.
- Make the indicator icon draggable. Left-mouse click to drag and release, left-mouse click and then Backspace key to reset the position. (new position will be saved)
- Choose a color for the indicator icon from among 6 different options.
- Enable a suspenseful sound effect that will play when bonuses are activated.
Advanced
- By using the supplementary mod Rewarding Night Combat Server Options and following its guide, you can
- Add and use your own custom indicator icon.
- Adjust the default position and size of the icon.
- Add your custom text to the tooltip.
- Disable the tooltip.
- Add and use your own trigger sound effect.
- Add and use your own ending sound effect.

Recommendation
If you are looking for a challange to really justify the experience gains from this mod, I would advise you to pair this with Night Sprinters Mod. If you find Night Sprinters super hard then you might as well make them little bit slower with Slower Sprinters Joggers and Runners.
