OldHammer: Proppa Elf-Biter, Grom’s Axe
Some bit of Warhammer Trivia:
This is a lore-accurate version of Elf-Biter, Grom’s axe. Which doesn’t mean that CA’s version isn’t lore accurate, non non non.
They both are lore-accurate.
Elf-Biter looks different depending on the source. CA elected to base their model on the miniature, I decided to make one based on the artworks. The miniature is the more realistic choice, and, would I be a pro, in CA’s shoes, I would have picked that one too. There’s an artistic direction to be respected, and the axe on the miniature just fits that bill better.
On the other hand, I’m not bound by the art direction, I’m a modder, I can do whatever I want, I don’t have to please customers and so on. And I happen to be fond of the humongous, outrageously big drawn version of the axe. So there you go. Lecture over!
