CONFIG Mazda RX-3 Hotspur
This is the 2018 Mazda RX-3 Hotspur AWD Rally Reissue.
It sports the incredible, massive V8-AJ133 Jaguar engine. Mazda was able to achieve an
overall 7% output boost over the stock Jaguar F-Type R power plant.
Originally dubbed as the Mazda RX-3 Saint-Tropez, the car was designed for street rally
racing in France, Italy and Spain, but after several fiery crashes it became quickly
apparent the power-to-weight ratio of the car was just too great for normal
street use.
The project was rebranded as the Mazda RX-3 Hotspur, and quickly she became a
champion on some of the lesser known race tracks and even drag strips around Europe.
Mazda only reissued around 40 known examples. They can be found in the salon, auction
house and rumor has it, a barn or two.
The Car Salon Sports package includes:
– Optional spoiler/foot board kit
– The crankcase comes with an easy access lubrication valve w/ slide-down cover (see pictures)
– Optional tungsten mesh rally headlight kit.
– Intercooling
(I used some artistic freedom to cover the slight clipping of the transfer case into the cabin;
you will need to buy 2x Roof Box to act as "lubrication port covers". For the foot boards
I used spoiler 1 (see pictures), the headlight protectors are the custom parts shop roof
trunk, which are also added to the car using the "add spoiler" action.
