More Idle Poses
This mod adds several more idle poses to character creation. If you’ve ever created a character and thought "I want these arms, but with those legs" and found that the combination you were thinking of wasn’t in the list, then this mod might be for you! Unless the combination you’re thinking of isn’t here either, in which case there are probably a few other mods out there doing this same thing.
The new poses can be chosen at character creation, and will be chosen by newly-created NPCs at random. This will also apply to any modded race that uses the default array of poses. Any player character or NPC that chooses one of these poses will remain this way even after uninstalling the mod.
You CAN change the pose of an existing character, but it’s complicated. Basically you have to decompile your ".player" file using "Starboundwin32dump_versioned_json.exe" (via the command line), manually change the "personalityIdle", "personalityArmIdle", "personalityArmOffset", and "personalityHeadOffset" entries to match the pose you want (hint: make a new character with the pose you want and decompile that too), and then recompile it with "Starboundwin32make_versioned_json.exe". Make sure you keep a backup of your character file in case anything goes wrong! If you don’t know how to use the .exe files, you have to access them via the command line or a .bat file. Google is your friend!
