Europa 270 BC Map – DarthMod Rome
The Europa 270 BC map made by webbird for the original Rome Total War got its first publicly released version in 2005 and it received its last update in 2007, called v8. This mod uses one of the oldest versions of Europa 270 BC that is also used in DarthMod Rome.
Instead of this being a direct port, I have also made quite a handful of tweaks to improve webbird’s map, all the while trying to maintain the look and feel of the original map. The garrisons, standing armies, settlements, all of that is practically the same as in the original, with a few minor exceptions. These changes have been listed below.
-The addition of a lot of ports that were missing in the original.
-Artaxata being replaced with Armavir.
-Macedon holds onto Corinth now instead of the Greek Cities.
-Land bridges. Many thanks to kommissar, the founder and head of the modding team behind Total Conquest, for allowing me to use them!
-2x movement speed and a halved distance to capital multiplier.
-Two additional modes: ‘No End Date’, and ‘AI ONLY’.
-The campaign AI is more aggressive now.
-Hotseat Support. Originally made by Eco_Gatg. To enable this, navigate to this mod’s files, then scroll down to the bottom of the strat file of of the campaign of your choice, and follow the instructions from there.
