Description:

Based on the General Motors EMD F7 and equipped with the same engines, the "NOHABs" were built in Sweden by Nydqvist & Holm AB. Initially ordered by the state railways of Norway and Denmark, they were also exported to Hungary, Belgium, and Luxembourg with various local modifications. Finnish State Railways had also ordered five locomotives but canceled before delivery. Today, Hungarian State Railways operates one M61 on a nostalgiac route, and a handful of ex-Norwegian Di3’s continue to provide passenger and freight service with Kosovo Railways.
