Description:

This mod changes a lot of variables to make the outcome of auto resolved battles more similar to the results of played battles. Quality of units is more important then numbers, archers are less overpowered, and heroes or other single entity units no longer receive excessve damage (see a full list of changes below). Don’t expect perfect results though. Modding auto resolve is limited to changing some values. Nonetheless, this mod is an improvement over vanilla auto resolve and will make you play battles more, because actually playing a battle and not auto resolving it will give you the better outcome most of the time.

List of Changes

– Loosing a unit in auto resolve is much less likely then in vanilla (if you win).
– Hero units are better protected from excessive damage then in vanilla.
– Lowered the power of ranged units in auto resolve with the exception of artillery (which performs very poorly in vanilla auto resolve).
– Higher quality melee units perform slightly better.
– The wipeout threshhold for units is now the same in manual and auto resolve battles (mod: 10% of units strength; vanilla auto resolve: 20% vs vanilla manual battles: 5%)
– The AI no longer gets an extra bonus when defending or attacking in sieges (both human player and AI get the same bonuses now).
– The prediction of the outcome of auto resolve is more fuzzy.
– The mod is compatible with any unit mod.

COMPATIBILITY

Can be installed and uninstalled at any time. New version is compatibly with any unit mod.
