Description:

Wartburg 311 from DDR

This automobile was built by the VEB Automobilwerk Eisenach in East Germany. After the Factory continued building pre-war BMW models until the mid-1950s, the factory’s engineers developed the Wartburg. Although the East German government never intended (or even allowed) the development of this car, it went into production after being introduced to the public in 1955. The car became a huge success and even won some international awards. Until 1965, over 250.000 vehicles were produced, of which a large portion was exported (mainly into western countries). After that, it was replaced by the Wartburg 353, which is already included in the game.

In-game statistics:
-Engine power: 45 horsepower
-Empty weight: 920 kg
-Max speed: 95 km/h
(It was a bit faster in real life, but I didn’t want it to be faster than the in-game Wartburg.)

Availabe colors:
-Dark blue (combined with white)
-Red (combined with white)
-Green (combined with white)
-Light blue
-Yellow
-Black combined with grey for the comrades at Stasi >:-)

It sounds the same as the Trabant, because they both feature a 2-stroke engine.
