Reworked Cav for DeI (1.3.1 compatible)
Have you ever wished for more devastating cavalry charges?
Are you sick and tired of cavalry tanking volley after volley of missile fire?
Do you hate seeing cavalry duking it out with frontline infantry in prolongued meele?
Well look no further! I’ve got you covered.
This mod aims to solve mentioned issues by making cav and other mounts more vulnerable to missile attacks and meele.
On the other hand your mounts will deal more impact damage and knock down more soldiers in charges. This makes them more specialized in their role on the battlefield and more rewarding if used correctly.
CHANGES:
➼ Radii sizes adjusted to types of mounts(dog, horse, camel, chariot and elephant)
➼ Heights will now go from dogs<horses<chariots<camels<elephants
➼ Every mount had their hitpoints reduced by 5 to demonstrate the vulnerability of engagements in prolongued meele for mounts and to make missiles more effective against them as most mounts are unarmored and a big target.
➼ Higher mass for all mounts. (~15% for horses, more for camels, chariots and elephants)
In Vanilla DeI there are some horses with heavier mass than camels and even heavier than celtic chariots which are pulled by 2 horses. In order to reflect the heavier mass of a chariot pulled by 2 horses and the heavier weight of camels compared to horses I made every camel have a mass slightly higher than the heaviest horse.
I left the other aspects of combat untouched as I find the very able DeI team did a great job balancing the other unit types.
