In Hindsight S1E1: The first day
It is the the 3rd June 1993. After the end of the Cold War thousands of soldiers and military personell all over the world became suddenly obsolete. You are one of those men, an East German ex-military pilot with no "in-demand skill set" in the civilian world. Your name is Joachim Neugebauer, callsign "Viper1". In the turmoil of the collapse of several communist countries you were able to cash in a few favours and smuggle out the combat helicopter you have piloted in East Germany’s National People Army.
