Crysis Blood Remake
I’m back at it again. I’d like to thank everyone who downloaded my previous Underhell Blood Overhaul addon. You guys kept it on the front page for days and made it a 5-star addon. Thanks so much!
This time around, I decided to revisit a very old blood mod that I used to have for Half-Life 2. Of course, it used the default decals from the first Crysis game. However, they were quite pink and overlapped, didn’t look right so I ditched it. I spent the past few days on and off remaking the mod from scratch. I made it a much darker tone (however the map lighting can make it brighter), gave it some really gnarly textures for variety and body parts (ie. brain matter) and used the same blending method that my Underhell Blood used. I’m pretty happy with what came out, and I’m currently using it with an unreleased blood splatter script that I made. More on that later if people ask.
Honestly it gives me alot of variety during and in the aftermath of fights and I don’t often see textures repeating themselves too much. It’s a lot of fun if you use a goremod, but my Underhell Blood is probably still the best choice to pair with such a mod.
However, the use of the blending feature does cause an issue. Just like my last addon, the decals will look weird and unpredictable when placed on ragdolls or props. It’s just what happens, I’m not smart enough to know why but if there ever comes a fix for it, I’ll update everything.
Hope you like it gents, cheers.
