Hotline Settings
What is this, Danny?
Hotline Settings is a gameplay overhaul modification that brings the lethality and breakneck speed of Hotline Miami into Garry’s Mod. It also comes with it’s own HUD and visual effects to help heighten the experience. Hotline Settings is very versatile and works with whatever weapon packs you want to use with it. Should work with most NPCs and most maps– though there are surely going to be some exceptions.
Current Features:
- Works in multiplayer, probably.
- Hotline Miami style combos and scoring.
- Throw your weapons with "R" to disarm your enemies.
- Beard style ammo crates.
- Punch your enemies to disarm them.
- The Void, which flashes and shudders as you kill your enemies.
- Health is gone. Instead, each time you take damage from a source that does not insta-kill you, you lose one "try". Regain health by picking up HP pickups dropped from enemies, or by scoring a combo that is a multiple of 15 (15, 30, 45, etc)
- All standard enemies die in one hit.
- All picked up weapons only have whatever ammo they have in them, no reloading!
- Weapons in maps are automatically replaced with Hotline Settings weapons
- Supports just about any weapon you want to use.
- Simple settings menu to disable some parts of the mod.
- Fully developed HUD with animated text, crosshair, and changing colors.
Planned Features
- Mask selection menu, with relevant gameplay modifcations.
- 3D2D score popups.
- Powerup pickups that replace armor pickups.
- HUDs themed after the original game.
- Bug fixes.
