Ocean Tile Resources

Makes it so that (most) sea resources can now also spawn on ocean tiles!

This mod was made almost entirely just to improve the realisticness of Civilization VI resources – it’s pretty unrealistic that fish and whales can’t spawn on actual ocean tiles – but occasionally resources do spawn close enough to shore for your cities to work them, where they can be improved with Fishing Boats (extra useful if you use p0kiehl’s Deep Sea Fisheries).

Note: These resources will not appear on ocean tiles (for realistic reasons):

Compatibility
  • All official expansions and DLCs
  • Sukritact’s Oceans (compatibility specifically added – Caviar cannot spawn on ocean tiles)
  • Other mods that add new sea resources
  • Basically all mods that don’t overhaul the entire game

Warning: (especially when abundant resources is enabled) Sukritact’s sea resources added in his Oceans and Resources mods have a tendency to go absolutely bonkers like this:
[imgur.com]A fix will have to come from Sukritact himself. In the meantime, don’t use this mod with abundant resources enabled and Sukritact’s Oceans or Resources mods, and hope for the best.
