HAWKS Playground is a fun COOP CAS around Altis. Each time you load in the Area of Operations will randomly populate with vehicles, boats and squads for you to take out. Choose to pilot from all the NATO Air assets plus a few custom painted Kajmans.
Your Base of Operations is the USS Freedom Carrier.
CAS HQ is decked out with lots of goodies including a Mission Generator laptop, and Grumpy Old Man’s pylon editor for all your Air assets. Adjust your payloads before taking off.
Please allow 60 seconds at each mission start for everything to initialize and cache. Once missions are assigned to you, everything is ready to go 🚀
Features :
- Randomly populated AO and missions on each play through. High replayability.
- All AI units are cached, significantly improving performance, especially if playing on local machines.
- Lots of HD custom textures including custom designs for the Rotary Assets (see above gallery pics).
- Re-spawn enabled for all players and all Assets. Helis and Jets will respawn back on the Carrier where they started.
- GOM’s Pylon Editor stationed at every Rotary and Jet asset, adjust your Payload before you head out.
- Random Time and Weather each mission start, favoring daylight hours.
- Decked out little CAS HQ with a mission generator laptop for assigning extra tasks while in mission (see above gallery pics).
- Unmanned MQ-12 Falcon Available for piloting as well as the MQ-4A Greyhawk and several Darter Drones.
- All Gunship turret controls set to Pilot, but using GOM’s pylon editor this can be changed.
- Lots of hand built ‘scenes’ around Altis for you to discover and maybe blow up.
- Revive available for all players, although probably not needed. Minimal chances of survival if shot down.
- Complete "Deliver" missions by manually Sling Loading a Huron container to it’s destination (see gallery pics above).
- "Deliver" missions have very small chance of spawning, it’s more about clearing the fodder.
Highly recommended mods to increase immersion (but not required)
DCE – Control any AI unit present within a 200m radius of you with a friendly option packed GUI
DAO – Control all the UAV assets like the Greyhawk and Falcon drones with a friendly GUI.
DAPS – An Active Protection System for all Air and Ground assets. Applies to both Blufor and Opfor so makes rocketing a lot more interesting!
With cached units and dynamic simulation this mission is quite playable in Local Hosting, SP or COOP. But building of this mission and testing was done with the use of my dedicated server.
How To Launch Mission Solo or LAN :
- Go to Multiplayer
- Server browser
- Host Server
- Type in server name, # of players, password
- Choose map on left (Altis in this case) and the mission "HAWKS | Dynamic Playground" on right.
- Hit Play

Update v1.1 :
- Increased Light Vehicle spawn rate.
Update v1.2 :
- Slightly decreased Static AA spawn rate.
Update v1.3 :
- Increased the view distance in mission parameters to 4km.
Update v1.4 :
- Removed the CBA_A3 dependency, which snuck in to the mission.sqm during the making of the mission.
- Gave the entire mission a once over making sure it all still functions correctly.
Update v1.5 :
- Removed a few unnecessary script and image files, reducing overall mission file size by ~1.5mb.
