Jacobeast’s British Auxilia

They’re here at @Laric’s request: The British Auxilia! The time has come to conquer the Island!

This unit pack includes the Exculcatores Iuniores Britanniciani (skirmishers), the Invicti Iuniores Britanniciani (swordsmen) the Celtae Seniores (spearmen armed with javelins), the Equites Batavi Seniores (heavy shock cavalry with javelins) and the Sagittarii Britanniciani (archers). They’re recruitable by both the eastern and western roman empire from tier 3 and tier 4 infantry barracks, as well as tier 4 major roman cities. -They’re all immune to snow attrition-

I tried to skin the units as historically accurate as possible, shield designs for the Celtae Seniores, Invicti Iuniores, Exculcatores Iuniores and Batavi Seniores match the patterns as documented by the Notitia Dignitatum, and the uniforms were based on their known combat styles and depictions of auxiliary Celtic soldiers in Britain. (The Sagittarii are something I came up with, but I tried to make them as "historically accurate" as possible).

These soldiers are some of the most accomplished fighters of Britain, even the strongest Picts tremble at the thought of facing these men in battle. When the northern borders of the empire are in dire need of defense, whether it’s from invading Ebdanians, raiding Picts or Caledonians who see their chance fit to take Roman lands for their own, these auxiliary troops stop at nothing to protect their homeland and their empire. No longer will the Picts push the Romans around, no longer will petty tribes provoke the eternal city and go unpunished, it is time to take hold of your lands and reclaim what is Roman by right. The Antonine wall longs for its Roman owners, and the lands beyond wait to be civilized.

All Units are relatively strong and balanced tier 2 units. If you use these men as the bulk of your army, you’ve got yourself a force to be reckoned with.

I noticed that you guys weren’t able to see the unit cards in my mods and were experiencing difficulties when recruiting a new general (you could only choose my units as bodyguards). I looked into it together with @Laric and I’m happy to inform you that the issues are fixed! Enjoy the mods guys.
