Description:

Disclaimer:

This is a heavily updated version of @Lemon_Tri Uboat. He has made an excellent Type VII Uboat and I got his permission to post my version of his boat on the workshop. I will add a link to his original boat.

Startup procedure:

To start the submarine make your way back towards the engine room, and flip the breaker switches located on the right. The top breakers are for power and the bottom switches are for lighting. Below the breaker panel are 3 buttons which control what lighting the submarine has. The bigger breakers on the left are for engine power; I suggest you flip them before trying to move the sub. Also located on the right side below the lighting is a switch to toggle the drains in case of flooding.

The engine starter is a throttle lever located on the left side of the engine room, to start the engines just pull the lever down. The engines will automatically shut off when you submerge, so you do not need to worry about that. This submarine has a large battery capacity, and the diesel engines are more than capable of recharging it. Just make sure you keep an eye on the fuel level!

Submerging:

This part is very important, so read carefully.
To submerge with the torpedo tubes dry, fill the aft and the starboard ballast tank to 120,000 liters.
If you want to submerge or are already submerged with the torpedo tubes open, drain the main ballast tanks to around 108,000 liters. You additionally may need to put some water in the aft trim tank (around 1,500 liters should work)
You can use the depth hold feature with about 10% electric throttle

“Torpedo Deputy”

This is a forward ballast tank that can be filled to take the place of the weight of the torpedo, but you probably won’t have to use this, but it’s there if you need it.

Equipment on board:
8x sonar guided torpedoes in the forward torpedo room
2x sonar guided torpedoes in the aft torpedo room
1x 88mm Deck gun
1x 20mm Autocannon on the conning tower

Reloading Torpedoes:

To reload the forward torpedo room’s torpedoes:
Make sure that the torpedo tubes have no water in them, you can drain them using the “drain” switch on each torpedo tube
Recommended to reload tubes 1 and 2 (top torpedo tubes) first.
Open the inner hatches of the torpedo tubes
Click the switch to move the top torpedoes to the torpedo tubes
Click the “brakes” button on the top of the torpedo to unlock the breaks
Push the torpedo in the tube

To reload rear torpedo room’s torpedoes
Enter the aft torpedo room and shut the door behind you
Empty the water in the torpedo tube
Open the inner hatch, undo the brakes, and push the torpedo in

*What I fixed on the original sub*

When submerged and the electric engines were off, the rear of the sub would be pointed straight up
I have moved the electric throttles next to the helm
Dive planes are now connected to the helm
The torpedoes now don’t go straight up when launched from more than 20 meters
The periscopes now sit lower
Added more things in the equipment closet
Attack periscope now used W and A to move the periscope up and down. It also now uses A and D to move the periscope left and right instead of looking to turn

Notes:

I know that I have heavily modified @Lemon_Tri’s Uboat, this has got to be one of my favorite creations on stormworks. I have used this a ton and I have a lot of fun with it. If you have any problems, comment them and they will be fixed in a timely manner.
