Description:

This is Dry Dock One. Its main purpose is to enable you to get your ships up out of the water for inspection and repair. She has a main sea door which seals to allow her to pump out the main bay completely or to fill it up completely for submersible testing.

Her features also include a heavy lift crane on the ceiling, she has 2 emergency escape hatches in case anyone should get stuck inside the main bay and a high powered lighting system.

The twin diesel generators provide a lot of power to the huge battery system allowing her to run for hours at a time and the huge fuel capacity means she will keep on running.

Inside the main bay she has 2 sets of hull wedges which move along tracks allowing her to support multiple sized and shaped hulls from small fishing boats to large cargo ships, whatever you can fit inside, you can lift and with the open roof you can lift them right out if you need too.

As usual, all buttons are labelled so please take some time to find everything before you use her. To start her up, just go to the main control panel and switch on the fuel pumps, then hit the starter and shes good to go. You can control both generators at the same time or individually and with the large bank of dials and displays, you always know whats happening.

Bear in mind that the intake and drain pumps take time to do their job, it takes around 5 minutes to drain from sea level to empty though you can speed up water intake by opening the main sea door. I may add more pumps in the future if it becomes really annoying to wait.

UPDATE: Dry Dock One has been updated with new electrical systems, the engines have been updated and she runs perfectly now. More lighting and signage have been added with more controls for the lighting. She’s had more pumps added to speed up filling and emptying though it still takes time. She’s been given new camera systems so you can thoroughly inspect ships without having to leave the control room with zoom and IR functions. plus some lovely new windows so you don’t feel so closed in.

I hope you enjoy using Dry Dock One and as ever, any questions or comments please feel free to leave them below.

Thanks and be safe on the seas!
