The Subtitling of Isaac
This mod displays subtitles for most cutscenes in the game:
The intro, epilogue and final cutscenes.
I unfortunately could not add subtitles to the Mother ending, this is a limitation of mods and I cannot do anything about it.
ASCENT SUBTITLES ARE CURRENTLY DISABLED BY DEFAULT BECAUSE OF ALL THE BUGS LISTED BELOW. YOU CAN RE-ENABLE THEM IF YOU’RE FEELING ADVENTUROUS, INSTRUCTIONS ARE IN THE README.txt FILE IN THE MOD’S FOLDER
-Resizing the game window at any point after starting a run will cause the subtitles to be misplaced. Nothing too extreme, but if you like your things centered you should stick to one window size for a run.
-Mods that disable the Ascent voicelines have a high chance of breaking the Ascent subtitles, because this mod relies on the audio files playing to display the text.
-Pausing the game when the Ascent voicelines are playing will cause the subtitles to pause, but not the audio, so they will desync. This is a limitation of the game and i can’t do anything about it either 🙁
-Going through doors desyncs the subtitles, maybe it’s fixable but I’ll have to really look into it
