Death’s Scythe
It’s Death’s Scythe. If you’ve ever played a Castlevania game, you should immediately know what that means.
That said, this isn’t your great-great-great-great-great grandpappy’s soul-harvesting tool.
The scythe functions like a hammer normally, only, it’s a teeny bit faster, and you can release the attack half-way through to perform a weaker sweep attack that has more range and pulls enemies towards you. As for the full attack, compared to hammers, the hitbox is a bit more precise (small enemies might be able to sneak underneath the scythe if you’re too close), and you don’t plummet if you use it in the air. However, if you use it in space, you’ll still spin like a beyblade, but that has a hitbox now so you’re at least safe while spinning like a doofus.
Now, we get to the fun part: The alt ability. You hold the scythe in the air, spinning it. This not only shreds anyone unfortunate enough to be in it (and pulls enemies further in once they’re inside), but rapidly spawns weaker sickles that can home onto enemies from large distances. On top of that, spinning the scythe will actually slow your descent if you do it while falling. You won’t come to a halt immediately though, so make sure you’re not going too fast or you’re just gonna faceplant and die.
Now, you might be asking yourself "where the hell can I get myself one of these face-grinding, sickle-spamming farming tools of the Reaper Himself?" and that’s a simple one.
You can make it at Treasured Trophies for 1 Hoe, 10,000 Ancient Essence, and 20 Refined Violium. If you want to skip actually earning it, you can just spawn it in with the ID deathscythe as well.
Oh, and don’t use the weapon fusion station or any other form of weapon combining. It may be tagged as a hammer, but I’m like 150% positive the thing will just explode your game (or look godawful) if you try putting it’s abilities on anything else.
Credits to Chaika for the tracking script the projectiles use (which I also modified a bit to function as I wanted).
