Playable Fishmen + Fixes
Basic mod that enables and adds several fixes for the vanilla fishmen (standard/alpha) races (does not enable/change the extra fishman king race that is unused in vanilla).
Should be compatible with any other race unlockers as long as they dont also change fishmen stats (otherwise place this below to overwrite them).
SUMMARY
- Enables fishmen as a playable race ‘Fishmen’ (both variants, custom description).
- Enables fishmen to actually be able to swim instead of walking under the water like a skeleton/animals.
- Allows both fishmen races to eat raw meat.
- Both fishmen races get an increased 1.1 xp rate for strength, I felt strength was appropriate since they only used martial arts and cleavers (only one small buff since alpha fishmen already have insane limb health, however I felt the athletics/swimming bonuses were fairly useless long-term for a player).
- I did not remove any of the fishmen’s original xp bonuses (for swimming/athletics) or penalties (for dodging). Overall a single alpha fishman is still very strong compared to the vanilla races but this buff shouldn’t make them much stronger as a faction considering their small presence.
This mod DOES NOT:
- Change any fishmen stats besides those mentioned above.
- Add any new game starts (I’d recommend finding a mod for one).
- Fix armour clipping with fishmen at all.
NOTES
- Made this because it seemed like most fishmen mods had the fixes bundled into a bigger overhaul, tried to make minimal changes.
- This mod SHOULD be compatible with other mods that unlock fishmen (like ‘subrace unlocker’) depending on what name they give to the race though it may make an extra entry in character selection, my changes should still work regardless unless another mod is placed below this that changes what I’ve touched from the fogmen.
