Many traders will stock Reforge augments related to their wares. The more expansive the trader’s inventory, the wider the selection of augments they can stock. Vendors that carry potion ingredients will stock the most augments, but if you need specific augments then you should seek out thematic vendors.
You can also find augments as a part of extra loot from Lucky Charm. Enemies will occasionally drop augments too.
You can reforge gear at any time through the crafting menu but doing so will require some extra ingredients. Each augment lists the required ingredients in the tooltip as well as a special crafting station that will eliminate the need for extra ingredients. Refined augments are rare but don’t require a crafting station or extra ingredients!
When reforging an item using a Mage, Melee, Ranger, or Tank augment, stats on the item that don’t match the augment archetype are prioritized for reforging first. You can reforge items multiple times to create items that suit your playstyle.
While you can reforge any piece of gear in the game, including items added from other mods, be careful when reforging uniques from other mods. Modded uniques may have scripts that can break after the item is reforged. Always save before reforging a modded unique for the first time.
